It started with a Telegram group and a simple goal — find a safe CapCut APK that actually works on budget Indian phones.

2022 — The Beginning
Started as a Telegram Group
Three friends — a video creator from Jaipur, a developer from Bangalore, and a cybersecurity researcher from Delhi — created a Telegram group to share verified APKs with safe download links. The group hit 10,000 members in 60 days.
Early 2023 — Building Trust
Launched CapCutModIndia.in
We launched the website to give our community a permanent, professional home. We introduced SHA-256 checksums, VirusTotal scan reports, and device compatibility testing — features no competitor offered. Monthly downloads crossed 200,000 in the first year.
2024 — Going Deeper
Expanded to 60-Device Testing Lab
We formalised our device testing process, acquiring 60+ popular Indian Android phones. Every APK release is tested on Redmi, Realme, Samsung, POCO, Motorola, and Lava devices before publishing. We added a full content hub with installation guides in Hindi and English.

Our 5-Step APK Verification Process

We don’t just run a VirusTotal scan and call it done. Every APK goes through a rigorous 5-step process before it appears on our site. This is what makes us different from every other APK site in India.

Step 1 — Source Acquisition: We source mod APKs from trusted developers with verified histories and cross-reference against multiple sources.

Step 2 — Static Analysis: We decompile and inspect the APK code for hidden payloads, suspicious permissions, or data exfiltration routines.

Step 3 — VirusTotal Scan: Full scan across all 72 antivirus engines. We only publish APKs that score 0 detections.

Step 4 — Device Testing: Installation and functional testing on a minimum of 10 popular Indian Android devices per release.
